Which phone should I get?

I am on Sprint and will probably upgrade my phone in the next few months, but I'm having trouble deciding which phone to get. Right now it is between:
LG Lotus
Samsung Rant
Palm Centro
Blackberry Pearl
I am leaning towards the Lotus or the Centro right now... I mainly want a new phone for IM and text, and also some internet usage. I originally was going to go for the Samsung Rant, but I have heard a lot of horror stories about it permanently freezing up.
So, mylot, I need you help. Please give me your opinion on which phone I should get (and, of course, why).
