I really appreciate this movie, touched deeply by the faith the hero holds, but one thing i still can not figure out is that whether it is a love story because the name of the movie is translated in different version, one is translated into Chinese as Brave Heart, as the name directly indicates, another version is called something like evergreen love or whatever, but i don't think it make any sense.
so, buddies, what do you say?

It's a love story, a war story, adventure, action, all of those in one. The people who named the movie named it in THEIR language, so a translation to another language doesn't mean anything except that those are the words that it translates to. It means what it means in English.

It's just funny that just because the title of the movie got a "Heart" on it it would literary means a love story.

But Brave Heart does have many love story elements. At least William's first purpose is take revenge for his wife. And this is his drive to fight at the beginning. And later he met the Princess and they fell in love. The translation of this movie's name only tries to make it much more attractive and that's all.
I love China

Yes, it is a love story in many ways. There is the love for his wife that sets the whole war into motion upon her murder. There is the love of his people and country that motivates him to continue fighting. The title of a movie doesn't neccessarily indicate what the movie encaptures. That you have to interpret for yourself.
