really expensive kid's books

hi there!
my father in law and i were at a mall recently, and we saw those book offers of children encyclopedia. man! they were really expensive. as in, if you are just a mere employee here in the philippines, you would not afford them really.
anyway, we just enjoyed looking at them, and really, if the child just likes studying, he would have enjoyed the books. if we could have afforded that when i was a child, i would have finished reading all of them. but we didn't. so i just contented myself with reading the clippings of my much older uncle.
how about you? would you buy these expensive books for kids?
i guess i would, if only i can afford them.

i will buy this book.in fact,even i have no children,i buy some kid's books as gift for my friends' child.
i think,perhaps the book is cheaper here than in you country,but it's also expensive.
and not only the book,other things that for kid all expensive.the businessman know that parents will spend money for children more than for theirselves.
