Its almost midnight and my neighbours are instaling Air con

Okay, get this. My neighbor was building a dog house three o'clock in the morning. He actually attached it to the side of the house, like it was a very small addition. And it took him three mornings to do it. I had to get up to make sure I wasn't hearing things. There he was with hammer in hand. Then when it was finally done, they moved and he took the whole thing apart.

I cannot imagine what has possessed your neighbours to undertake this chore at midnight, other than the fact...it seems your heat is sooooo XTREME during normal hours..it is impossible to work! Sure hope you can get some rest during the day! Boy, did you open the floodgates with your question, and my newer weird neighbours!Have lived here 30 years, the beginning of Feb. 3 acres of rural living! My front yard is huge & fenced. My house sits at back of property! Next door neighbours sold 3 yrs. ago! New neighbour...a single lady, 2 teen boys...and a plethora of boyfriends from every walk of life (new one each month).....and she belongs to a (I think) a form of cult called "Communitas." The reason, I say,cult/or...is that all of them dress weird, all have "dreadlocks" of many colors...and they have many retreats next door! I can't help but see! Their retreats last for 4 to 5 days, all live in tents, huge fire, sacrificial goats (she raises them)& drummers that beat one constant beat 24 hours...never lets up! A few have crossed into my property and, they seem to be "under the influence" of something! I feel uncomfortable when this is going on....last year we caught them attempting to attach a hose to one of my 10,000 gallon water storage tanks, (without asking) to accomodate their"sweatshop"! Even her dog is weird....it comes on my property...and barks & growls and snaps at you....you cannot chase it away! All I can say, be thankful for the neighbours you have...you do NOT know what the next ones will be like! Cheers!

I'd have to get out the high power binoculars to even see their yard so I couldn't really tell you what my neighbors are up to. They're probably trying to keep warm like we are.

In our neighborhood we have this place that's really bushy..lots of bush, and some of my neighbors takes a sh!t there. Disgusting and strange at the same time.

This is an interesting thread. Indeed your neighbours are really inconsiderate. They could just do it in the morning? I guess your husband went over to help him quickly finish so that he could go back to sleep without the noise? HahaWell, we live in an apartment so you see different things happening. There's this neighbour 2 or 3 floors below who has a dog that barks so sharply at night. Then there's this one that's one floor above that burns incense to his Indian gods that's so suffocating. There's another below that burns joss sticks to the Chinese gods & the incense rises from below. So it's above & below promoting their aroma therapy at the same time, no offense, just stating the facts. Then there's constant open burning around the vicinity of our apartment but not within the compound. So fresh air is a valuable commodity at certain times in our place. Sometimes they even burn inm the middle of the night that we have to wake up & close the windows & we're living on the 9th floor

yeah that is annoying.. I had a neighboor who constantly sings on his videoke machine.. we have to call the village security to have them stop.
