Right now it's -9 degrees out and I am sick and tired of freezing! It seems like this season is turning into a long drawn out affair this year. When I get up in the morning and go start my car I wonder everyday about global warming and where those people are right now when the windchill is way way below zero! I have been out and about but I long to feel the breeze blowing through an open window...and can't wait to sit outside in the sun! Are you sick and tired of winter?

Not quite but I am getting there. I was sick in bed all last week, Monday through Friday, and was a little anxious by Sat. We did venture out for a little bit and I was sorry. By Monday of this week, I felt lousy all over again. Believe my problem is either sinus infection or bronchitis. Either way, I've been in touch with the doctor and been on antibiotics but they don't seem to be working. By the time this last round of snow melts and I've done all the laundry in the house, I'll be at my wits end trying to get out of here. Not much conversation during the day with a dog. I keep trying!

Hi Jill, I don't like it too cold and I don't like it too hot so yes I am looking forward to springtime with some warmth and not the windchill factor too. It has been freezing here for weeks but today seems more pleasant and milder so hopefully it will start to warm up a bit. Huggles. Ellie :D

Remember this next summer when it is sweltering and so hot you can't breathe.. I have been thinking along the same lines as you are, I can't wait until summer and told my husband this the other day.. Of course his answer was, "well just remember how hot it gets and how you will be fussing about the heat when summer does get here".. So, I am rearranging the weather in my head, it is now just too hot to handle and I am taking the winter weather with me for next summer, does any of that makes sense to you.. The cabin fever is making me crazy.. Wouldn't it feel great to have a better combination of weather than we have now, how about a couple of inches of snow next July when it is 90 degrees... or 90 degree weather next Winter when it is snowing.. Did I just create Global Warming or what?? Gotta get out of the house for awhile before I get any crazier!! Seriously, we have taken to going to the library and spening the day at least once a week.. They have a huge fireplace, cozy comfy easy chairs surrounding the fireplace and more chairs in front of huge uncurtained windows looking out at the woods in the back of the library.. We have to do what we can to keep sane, not sure if it is working or not, but we are enjoying it while we try.. Have a great day and stay sane..

I am sick of winter to. I live in Louisiana and it has been staying in the low 30's and if you know LA that is freaky freezing for us. We are used to winters of the 60s. I can't wait till summer.

The way you describe it Jill, it seems so bleak. I surely would hate winter. I once watched a movie about how it would be super hot when the sun is hot (day) and super cold during the night. I think that is what's happening now. I fear for that day that the weather would truly become extremes. Happy mylotting.

Yes, jillhill, yes i am. I am sooo sick of winter it's not even funny. I am growing to dislike the weathermen on our local news more and more and more. Why, might you ask? They always seem to have a smile on their face when they are telling me about all the nasty, windy, freezing, snowy, icy weather that is heading our way. I don't know if you'd call what I have cabin fever though, That's when you're just busting at the seams to get out. Personally, I want to go hibernate...wake me up whenit's atleast 55 degrees and all that stupid snow is gone.

I like winters may be because I can not take of my shirt as boys tend to doin summers. I will rather snuggle in to a warm quilt with heaters on and read a book then keep hoping for some wind and chilled drinks. I am a winter person and I love when its winter time, even my ueually blotchy skin gets a glow in freezing winters.

That's why people don't say global warming anymore. Climate change -- uncharacteristic shifts in weather patterns, in other words. Sounds so much less dramatic, right? Cabin fever? It depends. Every now and again, I find myself getting a little irritable...but right now I'm in a fairly good mood. It's an off and on thing. We're snowed in, so we'll just have to see I guess xD

I don't like the winter either, but it was my choice to live in a state where winter weather is part of our lives for five months out of the year. Ick. It's 1 here and we're expecting blizzard-like conditions today. Ick. The kids are expected to be released early, but it's not certain yet. Ick for the work day, yay for them! :-)

Prisoners get cabin fever too. That explains why there is yard time in prison. Too bad some of them abuse the privilege.

Hi Jill, Wellll, I'm here in Ohio and what a mess we have right now. I'm sure quite a few other states too. My car is completely buried in the snow, can't even imagine yet how many inches we have so far. All I keep seeing is people out my window, who THINK they can make it somewhere, getting stuck. What a stupid day to go out on if you don't have to. I keep hearing ambulances too, every hour. I do hate when the temperature falls like, below 10, anywhere around there is way too cold for me. Right now it's in the 20s but the wind is blowing like crazy and making everything worse. I feel really bad for the people in Oklahoma, ew.

well i asked once on here about global warming and it really should be referred to as climate change because yeah the planet is getting warmer which is throwing off our weather which is why it has snowed in florida and new orleans this winter where as they never really get it before.. so with the planet warming up aka global warming its made everything crazy to where warm areas are colder and cold is warmer or colder etc but everything is still messed up because because of how we are screwing up the environment.. (if that made no sense then sorry.. i dont know how to word it correctly lol) but yeah im sick of the cold and tn hasnt even had it bad.. i remember when i moved up here the first time it was below zero and had a foot of snow the first winter in the mid 90s.. NOW i havent seen a foot of snow in years and this year was the first year in i dunno when that it got below 20 degrees.. so the weather here has changed a lot in the time i have been here.. 2 years ago we had like over a month or two of 100 degree weather and it used to never even hit 100 before and it was like staying at 102-106

It sleeted so much this week it looks like we have several inches of snow. However, it is not snow, and it is a mess! Local schools have been closed for two days, and tomorrow they will be closed as well. I went to Walmart this morning, but other than that, there is no point in leaving the house. It's cold, and a lot of places are closed.

Normally I love the snow and cold weather. However, this year, it's a little different for me. With packing and sorting I've been keeping busy, but I have most of the packing for my move done for now......so, now I just have business that I have to take care of before I move. One of those is getting back in to see the doctor, which is 45 miles northeast of me, and snow and ice are not conduesive of getting that done! And I'm just hoping for some good weather towards the end of Feb/1st of March to make my move in. But, I am moving south of the Mason/Dixon line, so sunny weather here I come! I'm with you on getting outside in the sun!

Hi jill! Yes, I am sick of the winter already too! And we still have so much of it left! I am sick of the cold, windy snowy weather and want so much to have the warm sunny days that I can be outside walking or just sitting in the sun! I hate being stuck inside because I can't stand the freezing cold air anymore! This definitely has been a very cold miserable winter so far!

Oh I get sick of it pretty quick! I want summer to be here so bad, but then when it does get here I can't wait for winter because I hate all the bugs in the summer time. Is there a phobia for disliking all kinds of bugs in the summer? crawly ones, flying ones anything! If there is I think I have that phobia.
