What do you call male ballerinas?

I never heard an english word for male ballerinas. In my language we have a word for each - male and female. Do you really say: "that nice man ballerina dances so nice!" ?

they're just known as ballet dancers... which is often what female ballet dancers are called as well. :)

I wouldn't consider myself to be a Ballet Fan,(unless appreciating movement or photography of lithe,flexible,attractive Women counts for that!) but I always understood "Ballerina" as being the recognised term for a Female Dancer..The "Prima Ballerina" being the Lead Female..Guys were simply known as Ballet Dancers..
