To be honest with you I haven't cooked anything from scratch in a long while. I used to bake cookies and cakes from scratch.
In our busy lives I think that a lot of people might not bake that way anymore. Would you just rather buy the bakery items in a grocery store or are you old fashioned?

We usually prefer to eat home cooked food since it is more delicious, healtier and we know what it consists off. Sure, it does take a bit of extra time, but it pays off in the long run as we end up saving tons of money. We have managed to slim down a bit and we feel lighter and healthier also.

Baking is a wonderful experience and surely there is no store bought bakery treat that gives you the pleasure of doing it yourself. I love trying out recipes of various cakes and cookies. I especially like the variety of baking recipes and videos at www.ifood.tv/network/baking/recipes

I make almost all of my food from scratch. I think it tastes so much better that way. Plus, there are so many preservatives in the already prepared food and meals. I like knowing exactly what goes into my food and that there aren't a ton of preservatives and sodium in there.
My husband prefers my baking from scratch. His favorites are my chocolate chip cookies and brownies. When I am feeling lazy and feel like cooking I usually throw a bunch of ingredients into my slow cooker and fix dinner that way.

I prefer homemade cakes and cookies. They taste better, because you know you bought them. Also, if you was to buy one at the store it would cost you almost double the price( considering you can use most ingredients for at least a second cake or cookie set later).

I don't think the bakery items taste nearly as good as what I can make. I don't buy baked goods, I make them myself. Bakery items taste kind of yucky, they're really rich tasting but have a lard-type taste.

Hello, it's me again......
We cook everything from scratch including our bread.
However, we don't bake cookies, or cakes. We just don't have the time for it.
Take care.
