I used to play every weekend in tournaments with a minimum of 20 people... $50 buyins. The pots were always big, and the games would be very intense from time to time. The worst 2 beats I ever suffered were unforgettable, and both happened when I was one of the 2 remaining people, battling for the bigger payout. The most incredible one happened when I had pocket aces (a dangerous hand to begin with) and the flop came out ace, king, king. When the other player bet big, I pegged him for having one of the kings and I raised him all in. What I never saw coming (the odds are amazing) was that he held POCKET kings! Th other bad beat, just unfair, also occurred with pocket aces... somehow they were beat by ace/9 offsuit.
