I just have to say this outloud that I REALLY REALLY HATE 3G MOBILE!! I had a 3G mobile account in 2004 and only in October of 2007 did they chase me for £44, well they did not chase me they sold this debt to a debt collecting agency who before they contacted me put a default on my credit file. I discovered this by trying for a credit card and being refused based on my credit scoring, I couldn't understand so asked for a copy of my credit report, thats when I found the default. About a week later the company contacted me on behalf of 3G mobile chasing a £44 debt of over 4 years ago. I told them they were not getting penny as when I shut the account I owned nothing. This debt company were horrible, kept ringing and sending letters. They then passed it onto 2 other debt collectors The Cheek Of It!! Well from October to now, fighting almost everyday, phone bills huge and even issuing them with proof from the bills, they have finally backed off, 3G now realise I did not ever owe this money, took the debt back and wrote it off. It turns out that when I joined I paid a month in advance, when I left I didn't want a month free so they refunded me. A month after they then charged me the line rental for another month when I had already left, never contacted me just left it 4 YEARS. I watched watchdog last night and 3G were focussed on there big time, looks like loads of other people were in the same boat as me. So if you are in the same position, don't give up, these are just bully tactics designed that you just pay up quicky. Sorry to rant but I was so angry, I will never go with 3G Mobile again. Anyone else had similar problems?
