Hi.
I'm from Poland and I want to know what and how much do you know Poland. Have you ever been in my country? What do you think? Or maybe you want to go sometime? Please, write to me what do you know and think about my country, I'm very curious about that. I also want to know how do you see Polish people. Do you know any person from Poland? Please, tell me everything what you know. Maybe you have some questons? I promise that i will answer your questions with pleasure.

I haven't ever been to Poland, the closest I've been to it is Germany. My Dad's mother was from Poland. My mother-in-law's best friend was from Gdansk, but back when it was still German. And my mother-in-law's mother (husband's grandmother) was also from Poland.
My husband is German and has a lot of family in the former East Germany part. It's very interesting to see how things have changed there since the reunification.
I'd be very interested in hearing how Poland is doing now that Russia isn't in there telling your government what they can and can't do.

Hi.
I see that I made a terrible mistake in the title of this discussion. I'm ashamed. Of course there should be "something" not "somethink". Eh... ;P
I'm happy that the part of your family is from Poland. My country has changed very much sice we are independent. Russia can only control our gas, now. But our democracy is still young and we still have to learn how we should to govern. We have some problems because many people still have old mentality, but we go forward to better future.
Please, ask more ;) Regards.

I made a typo myself in the title of a discussion that I did a few days ago. Embarrassing, but what can you do? There's no way to go back and edit it!
I would love to get to see Poland someday. Not impossible either. We visit people in Berlin and Leipzig once in a long while. So what are the best places to see in Poland?

Oh yes, it's annoying that we can't correct it.
I think you should visit Cracow (Kraków)- our old capital. This is a beautiful place with many monuments and attractions (look at the wikipedia if you want). You can fall in love with this place. There you can feel that specific climate. You can also go to Breslau (Wroclaw), Posen (Poznan), Biskupin (a vary very old wooden village) or Wieliczka (old and beautiful salt mine). I'm sure that it will appeal to you :)

I've been to Poland quite a few times to visit my Grandmother who unfortunately passed away a few years ago. She lived in Lodz. I've seen many of the beautiful churches in Poland. Taken a walk to some major spots in Krakow. Seen a few landmarks in Warsaw. Been to Wleba (sp?). Beautiful sea town. Poland is a beautiful country with beautiful women.
