I'm going to spend a night in a haunted house with my friends. It's in a small village about one hour ride from my town. I don't really believe it's haunted but I'm sure it will be scary and fun anyway. We're planning to tell ghost stories in the candle light. Also bringing weed so we'll see ghosts even if there aren't any:)
Any tips or experience? Do you know any scary games we could play (some creepy version of dare or something)? I want it to be epic. I'm bringing camera so I'll post pictures if I come back alive.
Here's the story of the house:
The story begins in 1980 when some guy killed his wife and hide her body in the base of the house. The last tenant was the doctor who completely renovated it and wanted to pass it on his son. But he abandoned it after only 3 moths. He said that it's haunted and heard weird noises at night, including screaming. 3 cops wanted to prove it's crap and they went to sleep over for one night. One of them went home during the night and died in the car accident. Other two said they didn't remember anything from that night. Like their memory has been erased. The house has been abandoned for over twenty years now. The current owner is willing to give it to anyone who is able to sleep in it for just one day. We will try...

Man I wish I was going with you! I have caught things on film and we have had experiences in our house. Take a lot of pictures and if you can take a recorder, maybe you could catch some EVP's. I would be so excited!! Yes Im one of those I guess you would call amateur ghost hunters.
I dont know of any scary games, maybe you wont need any.

I'll give you some pictures to analyze :)
Hmm...you're the second person who suggested recorder. Maybe I'll ask friends if they could bring it.

I'd like to visit a haunted house one day, but I feel if push came to shove, I probably wouldn't do it. It takes some courage and I admire you for that.
I think the only way I'd go into one is if I went with a couple of experts.
I'm afraid I don't know of any games. I've seen ghost-hunting programs where they throw something small across the room to see if something will throw it back. I don't think that's a game though - more of an experiment.
Good luck. Have fun. But be careful.

Well, I wouldn't even think about going there alone. No way. There goes my courage. I'm lucky I have friends that are silly enough to do it.

hi bionicman!
well, a lot of people like doing that. there are also several haunted houses in my province. however honestly i don't understand the point of doing that. i am not the scaredy type, but i just don't understand why i would want to expose myself in scary circumstances. i also don't watch horror movies. i just think that i have better things to do and better ways to amuse myself than getting scared.
anyway, well that is your life, hehe and to each his own right? as for me, i think i would rather watch a romantic comedy film and smile or laugh when i go out of the cinema.
take care!

The point is to have fun. Some people like to get scared and I guess I'm one of them. It's just how you said- to each his own. I'd pick horror movie over romantic comedy and also leave the cinema with laugh or at least with a crazy grin.

I have nothing to share but I can only say "All the Best" to you. I would still suggest that don't opt for that house for spending a night. I don't believe in ghosts but there could some human personal be there and do things which might harm you. I have always seen it happen that there is no ghosts but the criminals. They would do anything to proove that there are ghosts in the house.
So, don't go! Even if you go, be very careful about you and your friends!
Good luck

WOW!!!
Can I come a long? I would love to do something like that.
Great story too.
But, if I were you I would stay off the weed.
I would like to experience everything with a clear head.
Other wise no one will believe you.
Tell me how it goes please, I would love to hear how it went.
Take care, have a good time.
And be careful.

I don't know of any games, but I would suggest taking a digital voice recorder, perhaps you could catch an EVP (electric voice phenomon). Perhaps you could find out what is going on in that house! Be sure to take lots of pictures, you will never know what you are going to turn up! I would love to spend the night in a place like that!! I guess you could say that I am an amature ghost hunter! GOOD LUCK!! and I hope you report back to us after your night there!

There is a lot of stories about houses' like that and they aren't even true. I would research it like at the library they have old news papers and you can find out if it happened or not and tell your friends that there is thing actually happened.
Bring as much rock salt as possible!!!
