well on the tv and radio this morning said all buses cancelled for this area due to the snow storm but come to find out they didn't cancel my daughter's but. no one showed up for the bus cause it said cancelled but they didn't say french catholic school buses still running. so our kids can be put in that danger but not the other schools in our neighbourhood. i wonder how this is decided

Talk with your school principal. They may have decided to open/close the schools based on the furthest distance a student has to travel. If your school's students go no more then say 5 miles..while another school has students that go 20 miles over more rural or difficult terrain then the decisions will be different.

hi pop!
oh that is tough. i think it should be the government that will issue the warning and declare if the streets are passable enough so that schools may be cancelled immediately. it is not worth it to put your kids' lives in danger.
i hope everything works out for the best in your end.
take care and God bless you! :-)
