I posted something in the past, about my baby's sleeping problem. Some say it is normal for babies to snore, just like adults. Some say consult the doctor. Some told us about sleep apnea and the adenoids things. We had been in the clinic but getting to some tests and labs are some kinda expensive. I also got to read some articles in the internet. But I just want to get some reactions from you my dear friends and fellow mylotters, regarding Snoring in Babies. Thanks...

Hi Nieldc! Infant snoring is not much to worry about unless it is really too loud and disturbing. Sometimes it is because of nasal congestion so they do not breathe through their mouth. However if your infant still snores despite having no nasal congestion caused by colds or allergies it could be related to your baby's facial and throat structure. Your baby could have inherited it from either you or your wife.

Doctors said they want to make sure if it's really sleep apnea or what, by undergoing sleep test which costs a minimum of PhP12T

Hi neil,
When children sleeps and snore, it is quite normal as my friend's little baby snores as he sleeps, so there is nothing wrong with children snoring. Hugs.

Hi tamara. This probably too late to comment but I though it is just timely to do so. Six months had passed and nothing happens with our baby's sleeping condition yet. It may be normal for one person to snore in their sleeps, as they say, but with our baby, when he sleeps, he snores and sometimes you can tell that his breath stops that awakes him and cries. If we only have extra money to spend for his lab procedures.

Hi neildc,
I have no idea really about this. Don't hear anyone of my friend talking about this issue!
I hope you will be able to find an answer!

Hi neil, Guess I must of been fortunate with my two when they were babies as they didn't snore at all, so haven't heard about snoring babies but I would think its something to do with the way they are breathing when asleep littleowl

I also noticed my baby to snore during her first few months and its kind loud than usual but as my mom says it was normal since she still needs to develop her resperatory system and she still needs to learn to breath properly but now I noticed that she has changed and I believe that your baby too will. Anyway, they also say about things like when they do snore you should changed their position because they might be having hard time to breathe. Try it cause that's I do with her and I noticed that whenever I changed her position she stop snoring.

Snoring in a baby could be congestion or maybe a problem with the adenoids. I would consult a physician just to be sure.

We had been to some doctors and specialists. Unfortunately, the doctors wanted our baby to undergo laboratory procedures which will need us to secure large amount of money.
