When cleaning your house, what's the grossest thing you've ever found?

If you can keep every square inch of your house clean as a whistle, then congrats! But, for those of us who are challeged in more ways than one in keeping a perfectly spotless house (I've got four reasons), then cleaning the house would be an adventure. I know because I have my four children to clean up after and make sure they clean up their own rooms. Now, it's not always that. I've found food and crud under my kitchen sink (where I keep the garbage can) and thusly, I've found bugs. Let's see...oh, diapers shoved in my son's closet and other weird places...why can't I find a box of missing Dabloons from the pirate days? Why?! *Pleiades

Hair in the drain.Especially during winter when more hair falls out than normal and I loath dust bunnies. They come out of no where.I do not understand how they reproduce especially when I just cleaned the floor and turn around and there is another one..No wonder why they call them dust bunnies! :)

Always the absolute worst is those few times the refrigerator and stove gets moved out to clean behind and under them. It isn't always as gross as it is interesting to find what has gotten lost under them over the past months. But it is always the dirtiest area to clean up.

I was cleaning my wardrobe the other day, as it was just filled with random things that I've thrown in there over the years without thinking about it. I found a bag of rubbish when was meant for the bin, but I'd put it in my wardrobe as I couldn't be bothered taking it down the street to the bins and I decided to do it the next day.. ..then FOUR YEARS LATER I find the bag of rubbish underneath A LOT of other random stuff! It was beginning to smell quite a lot, but I couldn't tell until I'd taken everything from ontop of it. I'm never letting myself get into that state ever again!

You will never believe what I found one time. It was the grossest. I better start from the beginning. You know those fruit flies that fly around the fruit. Well I kept getting those in my house and I could not figure out where they were coming from. I finally gave up. Then one day I decided to clean out and go through my daughters toys. There was getting to be a pretty good sized pile. Turns out I found the mystery fly infestation issue. There was a bag of I am not sure what fruit, and it had turned into som sort of brown liquid. It had the worst smell coming from it. This could not be smelt until the bag was moved, and then it was horrible. Got rid of that quick. It was the worst thing I found and the grossest. YUCK!

Hi Pleiades! What are dabloons? The grossest things were food leftovers that my son used to hide in the most unimaginable place when he was younger. We often found snadwich leftovers in the drawers and other couple of places. Most of the time they would be in mould after a couple of days have passed.

Oh.. after reading your experience.. I don't think I have that much of a problem while cleaning my house. I can clean any area in the house.. Be it toilet , bathroom floor, kitchen floor, or any area.. I can do it.. Even my balcony where all this pigeons have found their new home or something.. And so it is full of all of their dirty works.. But the main things that bugs me off is cleaning the roof of my house not becasue it is very dirty or something.. But the fact that while cleaning your roof you can't do anything else than take the dirt on your face!!! your head your eyes and huh!! Other wise we don't have any used dipers around our house.. as we don't have any kids here and we all grown up kids living with our parents..

hi pleiades i hav a one year old. And definitely have problems with cleaning up. She just throws around food and toys. And now a days anxious to know what's in the garbage can. In the kitchen i do something to keep the bugs away. I clean up everyplace, even the gasstove everyday.
