does your friend know that you love him/her more than a friend?

i have a friend and we're always there for each other whenever we need someone to lean on and when there's something i need. he gives it without expectation and he always the one who offers a help for me. he will do whatever possible. and that what makes me love him more. he knows about it. but i dont think we'll be more than friends. he's just the way he is. but this friend of mine is also the one who made me feel unworthy right now. i commit myself to many vices, and made me do stupid habits. just to please him, but now is just a regret because i dont know now how to quit from these bad habits. he doesn't ask for this. i just thought that it will be a better way to please him and make him realize that im the one for him. but i was wrong. my decisions were wrong. someone pls give me advice.. thanks

This happened when we were still in high school and it happened the other way around.
My close friend didn't know that I knew that he had special feelings for me--more than a friend. I was told by this other friend of ours that my guy friend told her about his emotional attachment to me. It didn't spoil the friendship though because up to now, I pretended not to know about it at all.
Right now he is already a missionary priest in Asian countries.
