Did SA lose by losing the final test against Australia?
With SA winning the recent series against Australia, they have come close to the No.1 position. Had they won the final test then they would have even gained the 1st position. But they lost it in the final moments of the match.
But with the Australian tour of SA in March, the SA has a great chance to gain the No.1 spot and win $350,000.
So whom do you feel will be the No.1? Will it be Aus or SA?

With lots of senior and star players retiring from the international arena, Australia is on a downward slide. The new players will take time to fill in shoes left by greats like Mcgrath, Gilchrist, Hayden etc. Also SouthAfrica is on an upward trend with players like Hashim Amla, AB Devilliers and JP Duminy becoming more consistent. With already established players like Smith, Kallis,Steyn,Ntini still going strong, South Africa stands a great chance to claim the NO 1 Spot by April. Also South Africa will have the home advantage for the next series.
So my bet is on South Africa

Ya that was a great opportunity. But they stand an even greater chance in the home series. So i definitely think it is going to be SA.
But in the coming months, they will have to fight it out with india.
