I really love to do this thing very much. Whenever I go to the village, where we used to stay earlier, I always take a bath in the river. I used to go there with my other friends. It's a great fun. We used to stay in the river for almost one hour. I feel the madness there.
Now a days there are artificial swimming pools. But the experience of taking bath in river is different. It is different from the experience of the SEA too.

Hi friend, I have taken bath in the river. you see, my native place is in Tanjavur District, which is a CAUVERY belt. I took bath in that river. The place where I am living is Bhopal, in which NARMADA River flows. I took bath in that river several times. It's about a few kilometers from Bhopal. I took bath in Tati River also. Once i went to calcutta and took bath in GANGA also. It's enjoyable to take bath in river.

let me begin by thanking you. your post brought back memories of my younger days. I used to visit my grandparent's home at kerala during vacations. There was a stream right beside the home .This is where i learned my swimming.
My first splashes were on a banana stem, which is the original version of airbags. Gradually i learned the nuances of swimming in the river. i learned that it is much deeper at the bends of the river & thus avoided that. But i loved these deeper parts once i mastered the art & then enjoyed diving here.
It is many years since i have gone there. I do not find swimming in pools as exciting as swimming in the currents of the river.

Thank you too for sharing your experience elaborately. At the initial stage of learning how to swim we too used to take help of the banana stem. Many times I have swallowed waters during swimming.

Hi there! with the modern life that we have right now, we seldom have chances swimming into the river. on the other hand, having a dip into the river is an amazing experience. i do love it just like you. whenever i'm given the chance to go to the country side, i always make sure that i visit the river.:)
