Wap is same as web! Sites in wap are called wap sites! Wap sites cannot be viewed by a web browser and vice versa! Wap has a simple interface unlike web! Wap is surfing the net through your cellfones and web is through pc and laptop!
Have you use the wap feature of your cellfone?

Yes, even my cell has wap but i do no use it. firstly , the it is very slow. and secondly it costs a lot. Instead i have broadband connection. which is much cheaper and faster.

I dont think 3G services are launched, in my country. Plus my cell phone does not support 3G. If 3g Services launched, i will definitely go a cellphone with it. Because i have read and heard of the services offered. Sounds really cools.

Yes it cost a lot. Luckily, the rates here in our country is very cheap so we have the chance to take advantage of it! Check your device if it has a 3g capability or hspda! The speed is the same as a broadband connection.

can do,have done...I don't use mine much,though,as the download speeds on wap aren't very fast for me on my phone,even with GPRS connectivity,and there are more viewing problems..it's useful if you need to search for basic info on a subject,but I'll prefer to do most of my surfing on my computer!

The speed depends on your network. 3G and HSPDA capable phones is faster like 480kbps! Like you can use your phone as a modem.

3G isn't widespread here yet..the one 3G provider I can think of here can offer phones with mobile internet and Skype apps,but they can't or don't offer them when you're roaming-the phones they provide for contract users are only dual band,not tri- or quad-band ones! And another thing..they've recently brought out a "Cheap rate" contract,which allegedly doesn't include mobile internet data costs..you have to pay extra for that! Thanks for the Best response!

With this application you can see your nearby friends, nvite them to join you at your favourite places: you can send them free sms or receive sms alerts from them. You can automatically detect other bluetooth mobiles and send them messages and files.No need for gprs.

Wow! Are you speaking English? lol. My cellphone has WAP thing but I don't know what it is for. I just use it for calling and sending unlimited messages. lol
