Is Obama a thinker, or does he just do things on the fly without thinking about them?

yes i agree that! Obama must be a good thinker indeed and he could plan everything with lots of strategies.

I think Obama definitely thinks more so then Bush did anyway. But then again who doesn't? Back to your original question,I think its impossible to be a community organizer and not think. Trust me I am one and I know. We are always thinking about how to stretch that dollar further than it should ever have to go.

We haven't had all that much evidence on which to base an opinion, but he seems to be a thinker, indeed. A person can't get where he has gotten, or write a couple of wonderful books, without thinking quite deeply. His strategies seem well thought - out, also. Yes. I do think we have a thinker in charge at last!

I think he is an astute, driven individual. How much thinking he is actually allowed do for himself is another matter entirely. The thing people forget with Obama is that is is a man.....just a man , and is susceptible to the same failings as anyone else. I think there is too much hyperbole and expectation around him which may cloud his "normal" achievements. He is not a god nor a higher being and as much as I hope he does a great job and makes a difference people need to recalibrate their expectations.
