We cannot get out of our driveway!!

I feel for you, we get some nasty winter weather in our parts pretty regularly. I saw all the ice on the news this morning. They said it was 1 inch thick in some areas. That's rough! Salt won't go through that stuff very fast especially if it's still bitter cold outside. Aside from taking a hot air tool, heavy duty kerosene heater w/blower or an industrial strength hair dryer outside, there's not much you can do other than chip away at the ice. Of course, even if you do manage to get the vehicle free, I wouldn't advice trying to drive in those conditions. Even if you do ok, the other drivers may not be so good.

I haven't been out of the house since Monday due to the weather. We have 14 or more inches of snow and we had some ice on Tuesday and I just don't want to be out. We live in a rural area and so it is harder for us to get out anyway. I missed two days of work and I really am glad that I didn't have to be out. I hate winter time and I will be glad to see spring get here. I am sure that others feel the same way as I know that Kentucky has been hit hard with winter weather too and I hear there is another storm on the way.

I know what thats like since a few months ago we had a massive ice storm and lost power for nearly a week pretty much our whole state did. It was the biggest power lost ever for the state of new hampshire. I didnt mind not being able to get out of the driveway since I missed work that day but was pretty bored since we didnt have any power.

Hi there, It sounds like you are not having the best of days. In fsct you sound like you are having one of those days where you actually consider going back to bed to start over to see if it will get any better! We got a lot of snow here are well last night but I dont have anywhere to be so I think I am just going to hibernate for the day. I have a heater at my feet, and my blankies, and I plan on snuggling up with a book or a movie. I hope that uoyr day starts to get a wee bit better.... and hope hubby gets his smokes soon, because otherwise, you won't be able to stand him and your day will definately only get worse.
