High Cholesterol - Good or Bad?

For the longest time people have been concerned with the level of cholesterol in our bodies. Currently statin drugs are prescribed to lower cholesterol. I would like to know what experience you have had with statin drugs to lower cholesterol. Is high cholesterol(LDL)really bad?

If your doctor says its bad then it must be bad. Since you were given a medication then it must be bad for you and I think you should go on a diet and slow down the intake of those food that triggers this cholesterol to go up.
