I have never done online studies and don't know anyone who teaches online. I tihnk online studies are excellent for adults not for kids & teenagers because going to school every day gives discipline and youth need one.

I've taken several online college level courses over the years and liked it very much. Taking a class online is a very convenient way to attend class without having to make time to be in a classroom so it's great for working people. I don't think there's a relationship between an increase in interest in online education and a lack of teachers since there is an instructor running the course.

There isn't anything wrong with online teaching. It's actually a really convenient way for teachers and for students to take classes they otherwise would not be able to take or teach because of other time contraints. You can learn just as much or more by taking online classes. It just takes a lot of dedication from the students part to actually do the required work.

I think it is a good idea if the curriculum is good. I am always wanting to better myself and I checked out a number of online educational programs. I haven't enrolled in any yet. I am too much of a free spirit. Googling for anything seems to work fine for me. Cheers!!

I have been teaching online for months now.. I am working in a mining company and at the same time teaching students. Having an additional income from teaching makes me feel good because I am earning and at the same time I am sharing my knowledge. Even in my little ways, though I am not a BS education major I know my students learned something from me.
