I have had it up to my eyeballs with this man made global warming. Al Gore is either a nut case or a fradulant lier, I can't figure out which. Everyone has jumped on this bandwagon, and ignors scientific research and reason. Do we as the human race, realy believe that we affect the earth and our own solar system.
I have been doing research and discovered that we are actually entering a minor iceage, and the earth is on the verge of a magnetic pole reversal. Now it is regular science taught in high school, that sun spots are created by the sun's internal heat, and as cooler portions are pushed to the surface they appear as darkspots. Also, comon sense now, if a burning object gets bright it is burning more fuel and producing more heat, if it gets dim it is producing less heat. Now keeping these two things in mind. The sun for 2008 had 200 days without sunspots, in the early 1900's, they had 214 days. The sun is also a tad dimmer. Correspond the sun spot activities in a cycle of about 11,500 years and it lines up very well with iceages on earth.
Man does not change the earths weather, the earth orbit around the sun and the sun itself drives the weather, not man. Want more info go to http://www.iceagenow.com by Robert W. Felix, very informative. He predicted global cooling in the eary 1980's and was laughted at, guess what, he was right.
Now the question, are your beliefs in mans involvement with global cooling or warming scientific or emotional?

My beliefs on this issue are based on science. And I believe that global warming/cooling is a natural phenomenon and is not a threat. Al Gore is worse than insane or a fraudulant liar; he is a former politician. You are correct about the affect the sun has on our climate. Also, the oceans affect our climate. And, scientists have discovered that in past years, going way back thru history, that during times when there was an increase in global temperatures there was also corresponding volcanic activity in various locations around the world. There are so many factors that affect the climate and the weather. We can try to control the manmade greenhouse gas emissions all we want but that is just a drop in the bucket when you think about all the other factors that contribute to changes in the climate, factors that are totally beyond our ability to control. But most greenhouse gasses are natural, not manmade. Only 3% of CO2, the one greenhouse gas that is the most aggresively targeted by the global warming alarmists, is manmade. That means 97% of the carbon dioxide found in the world's environment is - natural. And we're getting concerned over a gas that mother nature herself produces the most of. The global warming agenda is not about saving the environment. It is about politics, money and power. The people who are at the heart of this movement are the ones who stand to profit the most from this pseudocrisis, while those of us who have unwittingly believed their lies will suffer the most from fewer freedoms and less money. Let me add a few other sources of information to your link.

I LOVE IT!!!!!!! At last someone who gets it. Maybe those of us who research and form our own conclusions must become more vocel and require evidence, not just reguragatated dogma.
Thanks for the site info. I am running out the door right now, just had to stop and give you an ataboy. I will try and review them tonight, Thanks again.

dogsnme,
Just finished reading most of those sites you sent me, one wanted me to download it, I did not read that one. The others were pretty good, the oceans are another great area. Anyway, just wanted to let you know i read them and thank you them.

global warming is just a hoax as my boyfriend says after having a thorough research about it,it's his topic for our term paper last year..
well, i dont really know the exact story so with all honesty i cant explain anything about this here clearly but i can ask him about the facts he have found out for those who are interested because im sure he made it done pretty well..
he actually told us about that minor iceage thingy and able to explain to us about it clearly..

That's pretty interesting. Will have to check out that site when I have more time. So now there's two conflicting types of events occurring - cooling and warming.
Quite frankly, I think there is plenty of scientific evidence for BOTH sides. I've seen programs about the wildlife on Antartica - namely penguins (and NO, I'm not talking about the March of the Penguins) and how they're really struggling with nesting because their usual spots are warming up and getting smaller. There was also a news article just this week about how a portion of Antartica's ice shelf was about to fall off.
Your evidence makes perfect sense as well. So... what does this sort of conflict mean for the earth? Will the ice age win out over the warming?

That site may help you understand the antartic better also. I can't recall if it was artica or antartic, but one was actually warming due to a large volcano on the ocean floor.
Check it out at the site I gave you. There is a lot of scientific information that you can view for your self and then evaluate the claims.

I am not a scientific person but i hope someone here can answer: Why is summer getting hotter if we are entering a new ice age? If you are in my country during the summer it is really terrible. Excuse my ignorance but i really am interested to know.

All the issues that Al Gore addressed about global warming is true, that's why he was nominated for a nobel prize.

Thank you for the link and the facts! I also agree that global warming is not something in human control. I also don't understand why something that is so debated is controlling so many bills in Washington!

christinep,
Follow the money, the initial scientice that purposed build up of c02 in the atmosphere recieved goverment money to continue his research, and continued receiving more and more. He made alliances with the UN and enviormental groups, both jumped on the bandwagon as a means to draw supporters and get more money. Which they had done, and continue to do. Now Washington has jumped on board an see's it as a way to take money from industry and the rich, give it to the enviormentalists and build up its industrial complex Al Gore. How much would the goverment make if they had a carbon footprint tax? Al has made more than 100 million so far and the goverment has not gotten all the way into it yet. The UN is trying to use it as a way to lead to a one world goverment, to protect the poor nations from the bad capitalists, and tax the US to give money to 3rd world nations since they are suffering from our large carbon footprint.
Its all about money which bridngs POWER

I think he is a whack job. Thank you for the info and the link. Gore has been driving me crazy since he started this crap. the idea that we can control mother nature is so ludicrous I don't know what to say. but Gore is getting what he was setting out for, carbon tax credits. Yay! we found a new tax for something that doesn't exist!

ha ha ha! I almost ROFL ROFL ROFL on reading your discussion contents. Yeah, I agree with you for your saying. Unfortunately, I've just replied to one discussion in this same issue and we all are being cheated by G8 Summit and Al Gore. This is my interesting answer to that discussion really as my full answer to your discussion;
