After some thought, I'd have to say, "Is there anything I can help you with?" would be something that would throw her off guard and perhaps become a great opener. You never can tell with women these days, some like to be treated like a queen while others like to be treated like trash. *Pleiades

I would have to say first, don't consider them "gals" or "girls". I"m a woman and that's just degrading. The first thing a woman notices is a man who is sure of himself. No catch phrases, not cute words, but a man that can stand proud and be sure of himself. I think getting into perspective the differences between girls and woman is a good start. A girl is like what you'd find in high school. A woman is different. Has more mature interests. In short, she's looking for a man. She isn't looking for boy to entertain her. If you know the difference, you won't have any trouble.

A genuine smile and 'hi' makes the biggest impression on me. I hate cheesy pick up lines and it jsut makes me ignore the guy. It also makes me think that he does it to every girl he sees.

Well for starters just simply say Hello, how are you doing? Then ask another question if she response back to your hello. Next thing is act natural, don't be somebody else, be who you are. Don't be a show off or brag things you have coz thats a total knock out to us girls. Just ask her things she likes to do most of her time. Then you can go on further to other interesting topics...
