why motercycles get better gas milage than cars

I was looking at a motercycle on the internet and it said that it gets over 99 miles per gallon I thought to my self and asked how could that evan be possible, I mean 99 miles per gallon! if you know how to explian it (how motercycles get better gas milage than please tell me because I would like to know how they get better gas milage.
