how can I speed up my booting time....

can I have you advise regarding how to speed up my booting time.... how can I remove the "Welcome Windows Starting Up" message before logging in as a user... I want it to directly show the desktop icons instead of showing the logging on screen...pls.. help! Thank you!

I can't tell you how to speed up booting time, but I can tell you how to speed up shutdown time.. Easy.. just pull out the electric plug.. ..kidding :) lol

If you go to the start menu, hit run, and type in msconfig, you can control what services will start when you turn on your computer. It helps speed up the start-up process a lot, as there is less programs to have to load.
