Is Alexa ranking useful?

I am just wondering how useful is ranking by Alexa.com. If it counts only users with Alexa toolbar then how correct the ranking is? Anybody has any other clue on this?

I think it is important for blogger or website mastership. I haven't installed Alexa toobar because I think it is too overstaffed to browse web pages with a toolbar.There are other smaller adds-on for firefox to take the place of it.

I think, it's important for everyone. Because there is no better to know the traffic rank of a website. Yes, the result may not 100% accurate, but we get an approx. data. I don't think it overstaffed webpages much, if you have good internet. -------------------------- www.telapoka.com

Alexa ranking is only useful for those webmaster / blogmaster who are plan to make some money from their website or blog. For the normal user, it just a number. As I know alexa ranking only collect the data from the user who had install the alexa tool bar. I cant say it is accurate or not but alexa ranking so far is the best traffic ranking tool
