Instant or Automatic Coffee, which do you prefer?

I'm not gung-ho over instant coffee and certainly no stranger to it. It will definitely do in a pinch as it is going to for us this morning. Ran out of the automatic drip kind lastnight and just did'nt want to go out to get some. It was 9pm or so. I don't mind instant, but there's nothing like a cup of fresh brewed coffee. Usually we take instant coffee with us camping, it's much more convenient, otherwise we probably wouldn't of had the instant coffee in our house. Which do you prefer yourself?
