will i do it or refuse it?

The name of the game in any industry is "flexibility" and "diversity". By accepting this you will be adding new skills and experiences to your resume that wouldn't be there otherwise. Don't accept it or reject it based on how you think your boss might react. Make your decision based on what it would do for your career. Believe me, careers come and go, but flexibility and additional skills are yours forever.

Hi becnh83, How do you feel about this job? are you happy with the one you have or are you excited about this new position and are they going to give you more money? you have to ask yourself these questions and only you know how you feel and what you want, if you are not happy about it, don't take and on but its up to you. I think your boss trust you enough to assign you in that job... if not... he would have chosen a different person... and to refuse it will be like a sign of weakness... or that you are person who do not is not up to challenges or changes in work situations... So i suggest not to turn it down... but look at it as a challenge to prove that you are always up to the task...

I guess it's a question of how much you trust your Boss, in the market place today I wouldn't think expanding into accessories would be a good plan, By their very nature accessories are the least necessary items for anyone to own. So maybe your company knows something about the market the rest of us don't know. In the USA most companies are cutting back to just the most needed products. I'd be asking a lot of questions about my job risk before I changed at this time.

Hi ya becnh83 Grab the bull by the horns I say and go for it. Sometimes jobs can become boring and mundane so what could be better than getting your teeth into something new and probably more interesting than you do now. I say go for it. Good luck

How much bigger of a job is it? Do you think you can handle it? What do you have to lose by not taking the job? If it's a step up in your job then I would say go for it, unless you truly do not believe you could handle the job or it would cause problems in your home life, such as more hours, more stress.

Believe yourself and try to know as more as you can about the new project.
