I didn't know Alaska had a volcano."Volcanic tremor" increasing in "amplitude," observatory says. The 10,200-foot Mount Redoubt is about 100 miles southwest of Anchorage, Alaska. Volcano last erupted in December 1989. Eruption could spawn huge mudflows, disrupt flights with ash. it could be days or weeks -- or even hours before it blows.

Nope I didn't know that it had a volcano on it..wouldn't have thought that it would with all that cold freezing snow and weather. You's think that the lava would be frozen so it couldn't flow..erupt..and spawn mudslids and flights of ash..thanks for letting me know I learned my I didn't know that lesson today..

Wow. I had not heard of this either. That is very scary. I hope it does not blow for a very long time.

Hrm. Well, it stands to reason that Alaska has volcanoes and earthquakes even. I think the San Andreas Fault runs all the way up the western seaboard.
