I have to or nothing would get done. I have chronic pain problems so to a degree pain dictates what I do and don't do. If I let it, it would stop me from doing pretty much anything. Instead I pace myself. Do a little bit, stop. Do some more stop.

Saturdays I do the entire house. I clean it from top to bottom. If I sit down before it is done, I don't want to get back up. This way I get it all done, then shower and then veg out!

Every thirty minutes I find time to take a rest. Then I will get back up or back to whatever task at hand and complete it. Works for me.

I find I have probems taking time for myself out of my busy schedule. My friend noticed this also and bought me a gift certificate to tan to make sure that I would take at least 5 min at a time to just rest and calm myself. It has actually helped quite a bit and I have a lot less stress now that I take just a little time for myself.
