Mardi Gras 2009

Do you have any plans for Fat Tuesday? I have never celebrated Mardi Gras, and I feel like this year I am old enough to really enjoy this holiday. Do you have ideas? I am in Texas, so New Orleans isn't too far, but I am not sure how expensive that would be.

I hate mardi gras. Only redeeming factor is this year I get a week off LOL I am planning on staying home in bed!

Wow, a week off for Mardi Gras! I dont know anybody that gets this holiday off. Why do you hate the holiday? Other than Halloween, its the only holiday where you get to dress up in costumes and have fun!

I can understand why someone who grew up with that would not be as excited about it, but I have not, and I think I would enjoy the holiday. Thank you for the input, and advice!
