I have really noticed that I am getting getting older. The way I move, the way I feel. Even the way I think. I am not sure if I Like living in this older body. I liked my younger one so much!LOL I am really missing all the things that I use to be able to do.. How are you handling aging?

My knees have been degenerating since my early twenties. I worked hard and played hard...now my knees don't work. I've gained a lot of weight and that makes things even worse. There is a fat old woman living here with me...I see her sometimes in the mirror. I have no idea who she is...it's certainly not me. I still think like I'm about 30. Sometimes I'm 36 sometimes I'm 16. Definitely not bloody 56.

I am handling the aging process very well. Actually much better than I would have expected. Other than having a disk problem in my back, I am fine. Because I keep my weight in check, the back doesn't always hurt. Nobody would ever know I had a back problem by merely looking at me. I also am very lucky not to have any gray hair at my age. I can color it if I like or do nothing. Someone is watching over me.

I see how much gray hair my little brother has and feel a lot younger but I always thought that if Grecian formula was good enough for Reagan it's good enough for me.

Gosh if you are older, I better move next door to the cemetery so I don't have to go too far. I just learned I have diabetes, high blood pressure, am overweight, and on top of that, there are scary newspaper items that there is a high risk for me getting Alzheimer. I mean I would not be surprised if euthanasia becomes the law, that they will kill anyone who gets type two diabetes because of what they might get. OH I do not have arthritis, and I am not going to move into an old age home. I am not going to lie down yet. And I am not going to act old either.

Aging is a funny thing. You wake in the morning, take a look at yourself in the mirror to find some frazzled person with a few wrinkles here and there then you tell yourself, that's not me, that's not me! LOL Anyway, growing old is not really such a bad thing once you get passed the denial stage which is after you throw all the mirrors away and vow to get botox injection to get rid of your wrinkles in 2 minutes flat! Yeah, it's awful... LOL

I am aging also and not liking it.. I don't feel a bit older than maybe 30, but my body is getting to the point that it wants to creak a bit more when I move.. The grunts and groans are getting on my nerves big time, but since it is me, I don't let it worry me as much.. I hope I am aging gracefully, but there are days when I do tire out easier and I still think I am young but my body disagrees with me.. I am not caring too much for the aging..

Oh yeah, I hear ya. I totally hate getting old! Geez, I don't have the energy I used to, I actually go to bed early most nights, my body aches all the time. Not to mention that my metabolism is slowing down and I can't eat like I used to. Oh, and then all the doctors appointments, cholesterol checks, surgeries, having things removed or replaced, I mean geez! Getting old sucks!! You know what's the worst part? I'm only 28!!!

I hope I am strong. I know emotionally I'm an extremely strong person, but when it comes to aging, I just don't know. I know in the eyes of many, I'm still just a baby, but to me, I can't even remember where the last 5 or 6 years of my life has gone. One day I'm a 21 year old single mother of a 4 year old, going out, getting drunk, having fun, hanging out with my friends, just started dating the love of my life, then the next day I wake up, I'm a 28 year old stay at home mother of 5 with no life, no friends, a husband that works too much, half my body is heading south, I have gray hairs and cholesterol problems, half my teeth are fake, I'm wearing glasses, and I've had my gall bladder removed.... where the heck has my youth gone?

I have always vowed to grow old gracefully. I bask in each stage I go through, and know that in the end, I am me, doesn't matter how old I get, I can still let the little kid in me come out and play, or I can be serious and do grown up things.

hello louise (hugs) i hear ya about aging. what is it that your not able to do anymore? thanks for sharing. but i handle aging one day at a time. the only problem that i have so far with aging is having grey hairs! i am not fifty yet and i will be dang if i am ready for grey hairs yet. i go about once every four months to get my hair cut and colored to keep those awful grey hairs at bay. i do not get grey hairs all the way through my hair, just like a streak of it on the top of it where that my bangs are and on the back of my neck area. my hair dresser said that that is really unusual that i have grey hairs on the back of my neck like that. lol take care and have a beautiful day today!

I'm taking it one day at a time. I miss my 30's. If I could have stayed 30 forever that would have been my ideal age... I do like the gray that's creeping into my hair. I like the changes mentally that have come with age except for being more forgetful, and I miss the invincible feeling of youth when I thought I could do just about anything....now I decide if I want to take a nap first

I'm not to happy to be 43, but hey what can we do, we grow old. I still dress modern and try and stay slim because I do dancing which keeps me feeling young and happy. Also having four children keeps me busy and i'm not a grandma yet!!!

I wanted four kids. After I had the first one though I decided that I was only going to have four if I had the maid, the chauffer, the cook etc to help me out! I stopped at two. Those two though have given me three grandkids so far. I'm not that far ahead of you (48) I'm at the point though that being so close to 50 I wish I'd just hurry up and get there so I could start taking advantage of some of those senior discounts!

I know we have to be grateful for everything we have, our life, health and everything else but I don't like this getting old crap either. Don't like the changes the body is going through.

I don't mind growing older but my body seems to dislike the idea. I seem to be getting a little slower, things aren't working as easily as they did 10 years ago and it's a little harder to do certain things. Other than that though, I don't mind it much. Hi Louise, I am ignoring it, I feel younger sometimes today in my late forties than I did when I was a teenager, things that bothered me then don't now and other than sometimes feeling a bit more physically tired I still blow bubbles, play on swings and live life as if I was young but at the same time do have the balance as I have responsibilities now I am older. I think my biggest hurdle birthday I had to overcomne was my 35th as I was now nearer forty and then when I got to 40 they say life begins, well i did LOL I got pregnant with my son, they dont say whose life do they and my next one is 1/2 a century, wow if I make it I will celebrate. Huggles. Ellie :D

Hey louise! I am not liking getting older at all! I hate to look in the mirror and see how I have changed! I don't have that "cuteness" anymore! I look old and tired! And there isn't anything that helps, not even makeup anymore! I can still walk pretty fast, but my knees are killing me and then my back hurts! Actually, everything hurts pretty much all the time! But, I try not to let it stop me too much! Sometimes I forget and I do something that I think I can do and then I remember that I can't really bend like that anymore and it's too late! I'm already down on the floor and have to get up!
