I only have few friends, and I do not intend to gain more. I welcome the idea of gaining friends for as long as they prove true and loyal in our friendship. But once I found out that this person did something wrong - very wrong, then friendship ends.
On the other hand, I have friends for as far back as my childhood days, and I still value them all. Once a friend, I stay committed to the friendship being built and try to develop as the years pass by.
Valuing friends differ from one thing to another. Currently, since I go with my officemantes, I spend most of my time with them, with other friends is our congregation, other friends from previous work. For some, I call them up whenever needed. I don't mind spending hours talking to them from my cell phone, especially if they needed just an ear to listen to them, if that's how I can be of help.
Material gifts are never an issue for friendship. My emotions always dictate my mind and not the other way around. I might be playing stupid sometimes or just plain fool. But if a friend really needs something, as long as I can accommodate it,then I can offer it to a friend, no grudges, no holding back, no remorse - just plain trust and an idea imparted that this is how I value the friendship... hoping you value mine this big!Speaking of gifts, I don't often give expensive gifts too much. I always create a gift to be given. I believe that it is mroe personal, and it is a product of labor of love. I don't recall giving too expensive to a valued friend....
Haven't I?Oh, yes... a cell phone!
What about you? What is the most expensive gift you have ever given to a friend? and Why?I appreciate all responses.

[b]well if i talk about my friends and count them than it will be around the 300 peoples in my my sourroundings including all the friends like my internet friends whom i used to talk daily and my homies(home friend) and some school and college friends...so between these all people its difficult to chose the person and give him\her the most expensive gift from my pocket ever..cause if i give an expensive gift to one friend than other i know will must ask me that why did you given so expensive gift to her or him ? what is the special reason and all and also must say that i am the fool who is distributing the my important pocket money to buying some stupid expensive gift...by the word expensive it is much obvious that this expensive gift can be given to only one and to any special friends..well all that i said was my experience and i will say that yeah once i had given the most expensive gift for me when i was in the grade 12th to my girl friend.. cause that time i loved her so much so anything for her didnt make any difference in my pocket .. i think i gave her the one watch of worthing 1500 rs , where the pocket money makes all 1500rs in the 6 month..but i gave her ,cause i love her..i make all money by saving all the pocket money of 7 month not eat anything from that money...and that was the expensive gift for me at that time..now a days there is no one so special that me should give him or her that any special gift.. i feel that it was all just the wastage of the time and the special money..even my girl friend (i mean current girl friend) is not so important for me that i bought an expensive gift for her.. yeah i am planing to give an expensive gift to my mom on her birthday which is coming soon..

Thank you for the well-thought response...By the way, how's it going with the present for your mom? I hope that is really something special. She's more than a friend...
