Problem with my mobile phone

I have a samsung mobile phone the problem is that i can't hear any voice when i make a call or when i someone calls me unless my phone speaker is on can anyone help me out to spot the problem.
At first i tought that is the problem with the phone but the service center man said that it is working fine but the problem was was yet solved.

My mom owns a Samsung phone and just like you, she encountered a problem regarding hearing voices on the other line. I have solved the problem for her when i saw the rubber near the earpieces. It kind of melted and needed to be taken out. I took them out and so she can hear voices again. The rubber got stuck on the earpiece. You should try to check if there's any rubber in there.

My husband's cellphone had the same problem in the past. It seemed that there is something wrong with your cellphone earphone. I think it's loosed. You need to get it fixed. It's easy and not expensive. It's only a little problem.

Ohh i will try to go to samsung service center again. I have one dout are earphone and speaker both the same? I am thinking they are same, is this true?
