There are several methods of hiccup relief you could try.
1. Hold your breath and swallow repeatedly.
2. Put a teaspoon of sugar on your tongue and let it dissolve.
3. Drink water from the wrong side of the glass, you kind of have to turn upside-downish to do this one.
4. Have someone scare the crap out of you.
Best of luck!

For me I take a deep breath hold it and then try to belch when I am about to hiccup this usually works for me.
For my sister she puts a pencil between her teeth holding on to while trying to drink water she says it works but usually makes a mess and spills the water.
I have also been told to hold breath and drink water while holding breath but since my method usually works I dont really use others.
I know of a site for natural remedies some the suggestions there are
Jess from PA writes: "Take three deep breaths, and then on the third breath, hold it as long as you caI was told this by my anatomy teacher who says hiccups are nothing but your diaphragm having a spasm. So taking three deep breaths and holding the last one stretches your diaphragm, and therefore stops the hiccups. I have tried this many times, and it does work instantly."
Rachel from Bronx, NY replies: "Hello, I wanted to add that the 2+1 BREATH method for hiccups which requires you to take three deep breaths, and then on the third breath, hold it as long as you can, as described by Jess works. I had the hiccups and the above method cured them immediately. Thanks again earth clinic (and Jess)!"
from Albany, New York writes: "Hi, Jerry from Albany Ny again..I just wrote to you about my hemorrhoids problem and hopefully you'll email me back with your suggestions. However, I just remembered a cure for Hiccups that an old time waitress gave my friend and I after we were out drinking and stopped for breakfast.
She told my friend (who was hicupping for about half-hr. that she would be right back..She came back with a "Glass" not plastic of water with a spoon in it..She told him to drink the water but you must let the spoon constantly touch your cheek..
Believe it or not, when he finished drinking the glass of water his hiccups stopped and never came back..
I thoght it was just luck, but several wks later at my sister's house she got the hiccups and I told her to do the same and she did and yep, they went away again...Fate, luck or whatever...
from PDL writes: "The remedy I have used for 20 years: Drink 10 swallows of water straight without breathing. Works every time."
Peggy from Maple-Ridge, BC , Canada writes: "Hiccups, Whenever I get a case of the hiccups I usually eat grapes! Red, green, black. It works! Just eat three or four grapes, its gotta be something in the skins!"
David from Hastings, New Zealand writes: "after one week of hiccups the cure has been a level teaspoon of honey which stops the undesirable effect after two to three minutes, overall condition improving. Tried most of the above cures but to no good effect."
from Radcliff, KY writes: "I was a bartender and there is a cure for hiccups I did not see. A shot of lemon juice and the hiccups are gone."
Tara from Atlanta, Georgia writes: "I was a bartender too. You're right about the lemons. I would take just one lemon wedge, give it a quick suck, and hiccups....GONE! It took some talking to get my customers to try it, but once they did....they were amazed!"
Christine from Belle Plaine, MN writes: "My husband had an epidural shot done and the next day he had the hiccups which continued for 4 days and we became alarmed and called the doctor. The doctor said it was nothing to be concerned about and just to deal with it basically. Well his chest was starting to hurt real bad from the constant hiccuping so I started to research remedies for this. I am just AMAZED that a teaspoon of peanut butter did the trick! Wish I would have researched sooner but he is happy they are gone!"
Marla from Buffalo, NY writes: "It's the first thing I try and I always suggest it to other people. They are amazed. I take a heaping tablespoon of creamy peanut butter all in one swallow. Its hard to swallow a lump of peanut butter but thats just what makes it work, it forces your diaphram and esophagus stop spasming. Plus who doesnt love an excuse to eat that much peanut butter by the spoonfull?"
Hopefully something from here will work for you

If water is available then drink only 2 droughts of water. If you don't have water around then simply start counting in reverse order from 100 through 1. It is the best way to get rid of hiccup.

I read in a book somewhere that said to hold your breath and put your finger in your ears to block out all the sound until the hiccups stop. I tried it, the first time it worked the next time it didn't.
