Hey Everyone.
Actually I am one of those who trust in God. Without God nothing can be done. I do believe that. But I don't prefer going to Temples much. I don't actually know the exact reason for my behavior.
I do think of God when starting a work or so. But for the recent days I am just not interested in visiting Temple.
Is there anyone like me???

Yeah ;I can understand why you feel this way these days.My husband is a firm believer, is very disciplined with his prayers every day and his routine pranayama etc etc .., but he hates going to temples.
You obviously do not like it because our temples are getting far too crowded and in the case of many big temples I see a lotof Pujaris being very commercial and rude,.
It is THE faith that really matters and the chanting of His name too , but whether you have to go to a temple becomes a matter of individual choice.
I have always been a temple goer and used to go very frequentLy when I was in Tamil Nadu but now I am not doing it here in Mumbai.
However, as long as we believe that nothing can be done without His guidance and you do invoke His Blessings before starting a piece of work, and have the firm conviction that he would take care of us, we are at peace.
That is really essential. I still do like to go , and I prefer to choose a time when it is not crowded. Special days attract a number of visitors and getting squashed in the crowd poses the the greater problem of wriggling your way through and not being able to even look at the deity finally makes it all a big waste of time and energy.
If you choose days that are lean then you would not be too vehement against it.
THat is my experience talking.

Very well said. Its just the faith that we have to have. Just visiting Temple everyday is not gonna change anything in our life. And I do believe that its a place to have some peace. But as you said, its just crowded these days and I do hate it. I do go to the temple in my college. That will be too good. I can find some peace there. I wish the temple to be quiet.
I went to Lotus temple once. OMG!! Thats what I want in temples. Just some relaxation. I don't believe in chanting also. May be its just me. Lol.
Happy to have your response. Happy mylotting.

yes temples or any other place like these give us mental relax.. usually i go to a temple of lord Shiv its called jharneshwar mahadev.. it is situated at a small hill.. and there is a natural water source.. thats why its called jharneshar mahadev.. but it is not such a famous temple in my city.. it is surrounded by lots of trees.. some time i go there and used to sit on bench for one or two hour..

I used to do that when I was in college. If I am upset, I will just go there. That temple will be too quiet and I can get some relaxation. Its hard to find some peace in outside temple as its crowded always. Lol.

the one who believes and one who does not believes - both have a belief. why do people believe in god? they are afraid of themselves. there is nothing called god. the whole universe is filled with energy, a strange one that we have not yet understood. lets not call it god and disrespect it. let there be mysteries; and enjoy that mystery. that will be really beautiful. if everything becomes as described in holy books (i pick holes in them ), life will be boring. that is why the vedic rishis never named god. they wondered what sustains the whole universe, what is it. they simply called it "That". life is not to be wasted in prayers and worships. life is to be lived. Dont believe. just live.

Its not that I am afraid of myself. Its just my belief and thats it. I feel that someone is there above all of us and named that as God. At the same time, I am not the one who waste my time and energy just for prayers and things. Lol.
Of Course everyone have their own thoughts. You don't believe in God and you want to live your life. I do believe in God and still I am enjoying my life and living it completely. Lol.

well i like to trust in God and i think deep inside i do but i prefer not to. my father is a great believer in our religion and he just waste much money by giving it awaay to temple. i asked him many times why don't he just give it to poor.
this made me very unhappy to go to temple it's been about 4-5 years since the last time i visited temple and i am just 17 years old.

Yup. I agree with your thought. We could give that money to make a child study rather than to temple. We can pray in our mind itself. Lol.

Hello Vidya
I am also a firm believer of GOD. But like you I am not much inclined to visit temples, etc. Visiting the temples for the grand architectures is fine though:)
As for God, I feel talking to my innerself, in the quiet of my home is not only a much better option but the best.
I also talk aloud to God when I am frustrated over something abd over the years I have fonnd that sincere prayers do help, and beyond expectations.
To quote many YOGIS, our own body is the real temple. Culturing and cultivating it with sincerity and care can work wonders, through dedicated and regular meditation developed and sustained over years.

Well said man. I want to go to temple for having some relaxation and that cannot be found there as its full of noise over there. So better to stay at home and pray for myself. After all God is found everywhere right?? Lol.

I don't want to have obligations with God. When I need some relaxation to my mind, I just think of God. Thats it. I don't ask for anything. Lol.

Yeah, I used to be just like you till a few years ago, but then it all changed when for the first time I fell in love and then I started going to church every sunday and never missed a mass. I really wanted t go there and pray and thank Him for everything that he gave me and ask for more favors in Love. It really feels good now, to go to church every sunday, cause it helps me a lot and keeps me from feeling lonely for the rest of my week.
It always makes me feel that I have Him around me in all my troubles and shortcomings and so I will never fail. I actually feel much more safer now. Also I am not that regular in praying though, like I don't remeber his name everytime I start something, but then going to church helps me and gives me a time and space to ask forgiveness for my sins and blessings for me and my loved ones.
Take Care
GOD Bless YOU

Dear friend,
I do believe in God and I too had many questions which I find myself difficult to find answers. Moreover I do go to temples, churches and mosques also. As I hope that temples and Churches and other places were we worship God are considered to be the favourite places of God. Places were worship are done it is considered that there are much of positive energy and this may help one for having positive thoughts. Hence these are places where much of peace and positive thoughts are much.
Moreover we do not like to go and sleep on wastes or where the place is bad or where there is dirt. Hence I feel God too like to be with good things and those with good thoughs. I do like to go to these better side may be God find it bit hesitating to come to the dirt as it may get accumulated in him.

God for me is not a monkey or elephant. I do believe in a universal energy and truth. There may not be any snake God or Horse God. Our established religions teach us nonsense. That is the reason I don't prefer to temples.
The belief is strong within, we do not need any traditional superstition to live. Everything is in the mind.

God is omnipresent and I do not think you need to visit the temple to show that you beleive in God. God is within us and no one in the world knows where is it. It is not necessary that God is present in the temple so you just need to have faith in God.
