has anyone tried the dropshipping business?

Has anyone of you tried to do dropshipping?! I want to engage in this kind of online business but I do not know where to start... I have tried to rebuild the wheel by researching and trial and error but it looks like it's not worth it.

I was going to try dropshippers but couldn't find any that I had any faith in. I have a friend and client in the wholesale business and he warns against dropshippers.
He says there are a lot out there that will cost you.
I am in Canada and want a Canadian dropshipper, he is in the U.S.
He is now working on a Canadian wholesale ebook and once he has it done he will give me a copy so I can find a good wholesaler on this side of the border and a good dropshipper.
That is when I will take another try at eBay.

Good Morning. I have a few friends that have started online business's threw the company SMC. They provide drop shipping for the US, Cananda, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands. You pay like $25 dollars to become a member of their membership and then they ship everything in your name out. This might be something you can look into, they have a website, www.startwithsmc.com.
