We aren't supposed to study today!

Yeah you read the title right. Today we have Saraswati Puja when we pray Saraswati, the goddess of knowledge and wisdom. So today none of the students are supposed to read and write anything and parents say us to follow these rules! Its a wonderful day for us...All the girls of every age will dress up in Saree and go out to their schools and colleges after attending the prayers at their home. Coming two months are full of important exams and this day is a break from all the preparations or the tensions of exams. What do your think about this?

Oh ! Really, suppose if have exam tomorrow then what I have to do? Just staying and sitting idle without reading? god never give holiday to study. But its good to listen from you that all girls goes to schools and colleges wearing sarees. even this trick may help to remember our tradition. Even on this day girls may leave their pants and shirts and used to wear sarees. It looks sexy than pants and shirts for girls.

We never have Exams after Saraswati Puja so that's not a problem..And yeah like the girls wear Sarees(girls of all ages-even the three years olds!) all the boys and men wear kurta pyjama..So its a complete Indian day in Kolkata that day..Girls have started wearing pants because Sarees are difficult to handle in day to day work fr a working women..
