Serena Williams, the 2009 Australian Open Champion

It was indeed a lucky year for Serena Williams in Melbourne because for the forth time she won the Australian Open in an odd year starting from 2003, then 2005 and then 2007. It was a complete domination and too many unforced error from Dinara Safina of Russia. And with this grand slam title Serena now ranks number one in the world. Who do you think can challenge her now? Maybe her sister... Congratulations to Serena Williams.

Tennis - Congratulations Serena
Yes, congratulations to Serena. I did not see the match, but I am so happy that she won. I did see the match before the final, and my heart was beating so fast. I thought for sure she was going to lose. I guess after they closed the roof, she got her stamina back. She is surely a tough cookie, and most times can pull herself out of a tough situation. I am glad she has recaptured her number one ranking, hope she holds on to it. I do not think she gets too happy challenging her sister, but who knows.
