I'm so frustrated with my male cat.

My male cat has recently started to escape outta the house. he has gotten out a few times and we have caught him and brought him back in. he has been out now for almost 2 days now and wont come back in. we have stray cats in our neighbor hood and my male cat is at that age now where he is looking for a girlfriend. does anyone know any tricks or ways i can get this cat back in the house so i can take him and get him fixed so he will stop wanting to go out?

We had a tom kitty that liked to go out too. but we always wanted him in at night. what we would do was shake some dry kitty food in a container that made a lot of noise. It would bring him running and he would follow us into the house. Sometimes it took him a while to decide to come home. I hope this will work for you. I know you worry because of All the wild animals around that can get him. We had our tom fixed but it didn't make him want to stay in the house. a female kitty is better for that. Toms like to roam even with out the enticement of the neighborhood flozzys
