laid off or forced holiday

It seems like most of the companies are either laying people off giving them furlough. If you had to choose one which would you choose to be laid off or to be placed on Furlough.It appears many companies are choosing Furlough as the choice. It`s cheaper and they don`t have to pay insurance and you don`t get paid. So if you had the choice which would you choose?
