It's 29F and I'm going for a walk.

I need to buy a few groceries from the store up the road, so I'm going to go for a walk to buy them. I also have to stop off at Office Depot to pick up some art supplies for Maddys school project and then deposit some checks. At most it will take me 15 minutes to get there and then probably 20-25 minutes to get back (depending on how much I have to carry).
Do you still go for walks if the weather isn't all that warm?
The sun is shining and even though there is a bit of a breeze, the walk and fresh air will do me some good. I'll just make sure Maddy is all bundled up, nice and warm. Cheerio!

When it gets to 29F here we put on our shorts and get out the lawn bowling equipment! LOL That's downright balmy weather in my neck of the woods. So yeah, I'd be out of the house in a shot.

It was refreshing even though it took longer to get there and back. Maddy was enjoying stomping in the icy snow left on the footpaths. Was fun. If the weather is the same or better tommorrow,we are going to do it again.

Very nice. You SHOULD do it again tomorrow. Maddy sounds like my 4 year old who have never met a mud puddle he didn't like.

I do go for walks in cold weather, but I think since you'll be carrying stuff you're a lot braver than I. I love the crisp chill in the air, and don't mind the cold at all. It annoys my arthritis, but I'd rather have cold weather than hundred degree heat. There is a temp that will keep me from going out. Twenty-five degrees or lower and I'm staying inside. And if the wind is really bad, then you can't drag me out. The wind makes it seem freezing!

Oh I hate the wind too. I won't go out if it's windy either.
Luckily I only had a few things to carry home so it wasn't too bad. I just popped them in my backpack.

Hi maddysmommy,
That is cool! I prefer to have some walk also but we are just far from everything here like store, mall etc!
Enjoy!

I don't like to go out when it is that cold and there is no way that I would choose to take a walk in it. I would rather walk and be hot than to be cold. It has been below zero here for awhile and it is not the weather than I want. I am glad that you enjoyed your walk and I am glad that you like the cool crisp air.

I actually enjoy walking in warmer/hot weather than cold, but today I just needed to get out of the house. It was very refreshing and both of us enjoyed our walk.

We did. It was very refreshing. It was a much slower walk in the end because Maddy kept stomping in the snow that was left on the footpaths. He had fun.

Oh no I hope you're ok Gabs. Sounds serious.
It was refreshing for the both of us and he enjoyed it because he got to stomp in the icy snow that was left on the sidewalk. It was a slow walk because of it but fun.
I hope you're feeling better. Take care!

We're in the middle of yet another blizzard so it's not something I would do today. A few years back I walked every day wearing snow pants, hat, hood and scarf to keep warm. That was until the town opened an indoor walking track. Then I started walking there... and now I have a treadmill. The cold chills me to the bone and I would rather not walk in it. Heck, I won't even get in a vehicle until it has been warmed up good. But you are right, I am sure the fresh air will do you good. Have fun.

I wish I had a treadmill. Would help with all the weight I've put on recently.
We had a nice walk thanks, very refreshing. We were singing and stomping in the icy snow that was still on the footpaths. It was fun. After buying what we needed, we ended up at Noodles Company for yummy pasta. We met one of my sons boy scout friends and talked with them for a while.

I love to do that. It dont matter what the temp is for me. However when I go out and its freezing I usually don't take my daughter with me unless I have no choice. She just loves to go for walks so usually when mommy goes she has to go as well. LOL. I am very lucky as there is a walgreens across the street and a gas station along with about 10 restraunts all with in a block of my home. So for us when we go out walking its usually down to the gas station to get a special treat for my daughter.

My son is 6 and turns 7 in July. He enjoyed stomping the the icy snow still left on the footpaths. Our walk was a slow one because of it but very refreshing. After buying what we needed we ended up at Noodles Company for pasta.
