greatest zelda game

what is your favorite zelda game and why? mine is the original followed by the super nintendo one. the original was the first game i really ever played. it is epic! the super nintend one is just so 3-d fun.

Not sure if I have one, to be honest. I thoroughly enjoyed A Link to the Past, Link's Awakening (Game Boy), Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and Wind Waker. I've yet to sit down and really play Twilight Princess, Oracle of Time/Oracle of Seasons, Four Swords and the Minish Cap. I have played both of the NES Zeldas and managed to beat the first one. Naming your favorite Zelda game is like telling someone which one of your kids is your favorite!

that is so true about zelda and kids. after thinking longer about it, i can't honestly say for any other reason than nostalgia that any one or another is better. what do you like that is unique to each game? i like the simplicity of the first. the super nintendo one is 16-bit cuteness and the fighting was so evolved but true to the first. Ocarina of time was stunning and advanced for my expectations. Oh I forgot to mention that I didn't like the sequel on Nintendo to the original until years and years later. Now I love it. I think it was too difficult for me at my age that it first came out. I don't know how I feel about the twighlight princess. I moved on to Final Fantasy games and Playstation 3 rather than nintendo.

Well, I'm an adult and I still play Zelda games as well as other ones. Yeah, Link to the Past and Link's Awakening were from a simpler time, and they stand the test of time. Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask had stunning graphics and were a good transition for 3-D Zelda games. Wind Waker had a different style of graphics, but it was still darn fun. All of them are some of the best games on their respective systems.

Mine is ocorina of time. I loved this game. I also loved super nintendo zelda as well. Zelda is just an awesome game no matter what.

those two are the most visually stunning zelda games. i love the small link big link transformation in ocarina of time

My favourite would have to be Ocarina of Time. Absolutely epic.
Wind Waker was pretty good too.
I first played ocarina of time when i was like 6-7 years old. I would play it again.

Ocarina of Time definitely. It has to be one of the best games that Nintendo released during their time. This game was the game that changed the whole series altogether and made it turn to a different point of view. Also, Nintendo Power agrees with me when it said last year for the 10 year Ocarina of Time anniversary that it was still one of their top games even up to this day.
