what kind of dog do you recommend?

We are hoping to get a dog from a rescue home and have no idea what dog to look for. I would be grateful for any tips that you could give me. We havent got a large garden or land so would be taking it out for walks and to the countryside for a run. A dog that needs loads and loads of excercise would not be a good idea but 1 run out and 3 walks a day is do able.

If you're in the market for a little dog, I recommand Shih Tzus, they are very loving and sweet dogs. They get along with people and animals easily.
