Hi. Does anyone have a really good way of making homemade peanut butter? I followed a recipe I found on the internet once and it came out so oily. I live in Malta. You can find peanut butter here but it's just not the same taste or texture as New York's and I can't find any right now, I haven't found any for about 2 months now!! That's what you get for living on a small island. Anyway, if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. My daughter has been asking me daily if I bought her any yet.

Recipe to make delicious peanut butter is very simple: buy peanuts, roast them in a frying pan till they are crunchy brown. Le them cool down. Get a ice chopper machine or grinder machine (whatever you have at home), put roasted nuts in the machine and chop them till they turn in soft mixture. As peanuts contain lots of oil you don't need to add any oil or butter to it. That's all recipe.

I've looked at recipes for making peanut butter, but I haven't tried it yet. I would recommend chopping the nuts in your blender or food processor first, then slowly add the oil until it is the consistency you want. It is always easy to add more of something, but you can't take it out.

yup, don't put too much oil on it when your grinding it. you will see the texture and the finish product of your peanut butter if it's too dry and oily. i don't know how you do it but that's what i can share.
