hey, all friends here, according to my knowledge, cremetion is more common than burial in CHINA. but cremation was seemed to be some unpolite way for the death in our old sociaty. none will use cremations. as the population grows, land become less and less,if we still use inhumation , then we will find no place for ppl to live. In my own opinion , cremation is better than inhumation, for saving lands sake. and it's much easier cremation than inhumation. how do u think? which one is legal in your nation? incremation or inhumation? thanks for sharing ur ideas. best wishes

I live in the United States and burial seems to be the popular thing to do here. I myself think of going into a box and put into a hole in the ground very unpleasant. I would much prefer to be cremeted and have my ashes scattered in a field somewhere. I think for land's sake, cremetion seems much more appropriate as well. In my mind's eye, it makes much more sense all the way around. Now I am Christian and I am pretty sure that burial is more acceptable and my husband, who is Jewish is absolutely sure that he will be buried because that's what his religion calls for and while he is not practicing, he will still follow the long held tradition. His family would have it no other way. You do make a very valid point that cremetion would save so much land that is in demand. Thank you for bringing up this topic.
