rearrange your furniture? We are doing a little flipping around of couches and such. Having a small Superbowl gathering after all. Trying to see which angles etc give the best view of our tv. Do you switch it up on a whim, for a change ? Or for a gathering?

I am kind of surprised that you never had the idea to move or rearrange any furniture. It just seems that after a while a person like myself and others just need a little change and need to move around the sofas in the living quarters. But that is up to you and to each his own of course. Some furniture might be too heavy anyway to want to deal with rearranging.

The arrangement that I have in my house is the only one that I think that would work just looking around the room i dont know where else I would put all of the furniture. It just would be a difficult situation that I could really not envision where I would put all of the furniture. I like what the furniture looks like now.

Sometimes there just isn't a lot of wiggle room especially in a living area that might have too much in it already and there is a small space to move around. Certain areas of the room might only be capable of looking good with certain furniture there in a specific place and really not need to be moved around.

My sister in law rearranges her furniture every few months it seems, but I can't get my husband to change our furniture much we changed it once in about 3 years and he turned around a few days later and put it back the way it was...lol

I change the furniture in my room ALL the time. There are times when I just get tired with how things look and need a new setting. Though I think when I get married once we set up the room it will stay that way. Sure my husband won't want me to change the room around ever couple of months.

It usually doesn't occur to me to move furniture in the house. However, one of our houseguests / roomates recently moved out and so there are open spaces and I've been redistributing our stuff.

I don't really change things around. They way my old living room was set up there was only really one way the living room furniture COULD be.

Once in a blue moon hubby decides to rearrange, I think he's done it once or twice on a whim since I've known him. I've done it once because I decided I wanted my computer in the dining room, to have better view of the children while I'm online. We also tend to rearrange around the holidays because we have to find the best spot in the house for the tree, which usually requires temporarily moving a sofa.

Good discussion! I use to change my furniture around lot, but now that I have an infant and hardly any room in my place anymore I really can't change alot around. It's nice to rearrange your furniture because you can clean whatever is underneath the furniture or behind. Plus it makes you feel alittle better when you have a new look in your place. Actually soon I need to move things around and clean really well. My son has just started crawling so I need to try and make more room for him and to also really clean this place. I try to deep clean twice a year....well... I have been slacking! Have fun tomorrow during the superbowl!! Happy mylotting!!

I can see where you would like to move things around from time to time especially when you have that little one crawling and wandering about! There is always time to put in a new look in the house and sometimes I just like to do it because I am bored with the living area.

I do rearrange my furniture every now and again just for a little change. My husband and I both help each other because we have a heavy table underneath our computer system and the like. I like to have a change of scenery in my home from once in a while so I move the sofas and some other things to different places in the living room area.

i like change but i hate change. it can be a good thing or a bad thing. changing funiture around is one good change, nothing can really go wrong there...if u don't like it you can always change it back. now change with friends, family or relationships to me is a bad thing. i hate change when it comes to those things. right now the guy im with changed completely since the time i ment him and first got with him. he doesn't like doing the same things. he just like to sit around and that isn't for me. i like actually getting up and doing things to keep my mind busy. if i just sit there and think all my mind starts to wonder and sometimes, almost all the time, it's a bad thing. your change though is a good thing, that's a good idea to switch things around for a gathering. it's more memorable that way.
