Hey All,
I have heard from a lot of people that they earn a good chunk of money from working in a bar as a bartender or server. They get a lot from tips. I am in school taking Environmental Engineering and I don't see the point of having a part-time job in a very busy environment. However, I am a very poor student! Haha! I'm financially independent from my parents and I'm working everything that I could just to earn money for school.
Oh boy, why can life be so hard on you sometimes!

Not true at all! I work at a family restaurant, we serve italian food and its pretty busy during the week and packed on weekends. During the week I average about$80/night and weekends is about $100...I once made just under $200...and I was completely clothed. Being a woman makes no difference when your working in a family environment, I could see if it were more of a bar setting, then yes being a woman would definately help. You make a lot less money hourly tho because of tips, I make only $8/hr, but my average shift is 4 hours and I make about $80/shift, so thats $28/hr...not bad for a part time job.
