i read fictions books. i really like the books of J.R.R. Tolkien: The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the ring, Two towers, and Return of the king. i'm currently reading the Silmarillon.
i like how J.R.R. Tolkien came out with his own world, middle earth. He's very creative. even the languages were made by him.

You should try one of Iris Johansen's Historical Romance novels. I picked one up once, not being a huge fan of it, and I loved it. Her dective novels are excellent too!

I normally read fantasy and science fiction books.
Usually I will just run to the library and see what books catch my fancy. :)

I really like reading and I read many different kinds of books. I read fiction as well as non-fiction. Ingvar Ambjornsen is a Norwegian author, he has written a couple of books that I like very much, and he is one of my favourite authors at the moment. I have read his books more than once, and I still think that they are very funny and well-written. The non-fiction books that I read are about mostly about psychology, psychiatry, other countries, religion, history or art.

I am a geek and I'll read almost anything. I love fiction, but I have really gotten into non-fiction as well. I also find reading forensic books fascinating. My friend even got me a forensics textbook for my birthday once, because I find it interesting. I have also read LOTR and the Hobbit, and I am currently reading the Silmarillion - that man had a great mind! I love Harry Potter, Twilight, and the Chronicles of Narnia. I just finished reading The Book Thief and I am reading the Women's Murder Club series as well. I loved reading The Scarelt Pimpernel (if you are in to romance, you must read that!), and The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux was one of my favorites growing up. I devour books - I find them all wonderful!

I've read his rings books and the Hobbit.
I've also read the Harry Potter books.
I really like Anne McCaffrey, Mercedes Lackey, Orson Scott Card, and Robert J Sawyer, those are probably my current favorite writers, in the SF/F genre.
I like Janet Evanovich and Lilian Jackson Braun in the mystery genre, tho I also was very fond of Tony Hillermann and was sorry to hear of his passing.
I'm hoping that Lilian is, like Anne McCaffrey, grooming someone to continue her stories after she's gone, since she's gotta be in her mid-90's now. Anne is grooming her son, Todd, to do her Pern stories.

I read everything, anything that anyone recommends i will give a go. I'll admit that i gravitate towards fiction, and more specifically science fiction. I have read The Lord of the rings and the Hobbit. I have the Silmarillon but haven't got around to reading it.
I have actually started reading on my Eee PC alot, its quite handy to download an ebook to and read in bed or where ever i happen to be when i feel like reading.

Lord of the Rings are my favorite books. By choice, I read mainly fantasy, science fiction and horror. I like going to far-out places in my mind. Other fantasy authors I really enjoy are Neil Gaiman, Charles De Lindt, Tanith Lee, Storm Constantine, Piers Anthony, Justina Robson - I could just go on and on and on.
Off-topic: Don't you think it was great how the Lord of the Rings movies stayed (mostly) true to the spirit of the books?

I love to read! It's such a rush to curl up to a good book! Although, I don't read things by J.R.R. Tolkien, I have heard many good things! I haven't been able to get into those movies, so I haven't made an effort to read the series.
The authors that have made a big impact on my imagination are: V.C. Andrews, I have read every single one of her books. Stephen King is the second. I think that he is so awesome, what a morbid imagination! lol!!! I love it! Let's see, there's Robin Cook and of course J.K. Rowling! Dean Koontz and John Saul, very good too! I am too old to be very appreciative to R.L. Stine in my chidhood, but I still like to read the Fear Street Series even now! Oh my gosh let me not forget Iris Johansen and John Grisham, both are very good at reaching out at the detective in me!
Have fun with your books! Happy reading!
